Big Ten power rankings: Michigan fourth, MSU 11th in our preseason outlook

Ah, yes, it's almost time to kick off another Big Ten football season. So that means it's time to arbitrarily rank the conference's teams.

Enjoy.

14. Rutgers
13. Illinois
12. Purdue

The Scarlett Knights were 0-9 in Big Ten play last season and got shut out FOUR times in conference play, and one of those was even by Michigan State. The good news for Rutgers students is there will be a pool/jacuzzi at the season opener.

Purdue shouldn't be a bottom-tier Big Ten team, and maybe Jeff Brohm can change that. Meanwhile, Lovie Smith offered a scholarship to a 10-year-old this offseason and he'd probably make this year's two-deep.
