CHICAGO -- Get ready for a summer of back and forth between the Big Ten Conference and Comcast.
Mark Silverman, the president of the Big Ten Network and regional executive with Fox Sports, took to the podium Tuesday at Big Ten media days to strike fear in Big Ten football fans.
The league's original 10-year television contract with Comcast expires at the end of August with little headway on a renewal, putting in jeopardy access to watch Big Ten football games on the league-operated Big Ten Network.
"We should be much further along than we are," Silverman told a room full of reporters, his comments also broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
