The Michigan Wolverines shocked the college football world with a victory over then-No. 2-ranked Ohio State on Saturday, but that was far from the only headline to come from the game, as the teams were involved in a large skirmish following the game.
As a result, the Big Ten Conference announced on Sunday night that it was issuing fines of $100,000 to both Michigan and Ohio State. Furthermore, the conference stated it considered the matter “concluded” and didn’t have further comment.
Here’s the full statement from the Big Ten:
The Big Ten Conference has determined that the actions of both teams following the Michigan-Ohio State football game on Saturday, November 30, 2024, violated the Big Ten Sportsmanship Policy.
