In many ways, the coordinates for the Big Ten's current trajectory were set on Dec. 30, 2014.
That's the day Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh as head coach, initiating what many believed would be a new era of the "Big 2" in the league between Harbaugh's Wolverines and Urban Meyer's superpower, Ohio State. At the halfway point in the 2016 season, that day has arrived. Michigan and Ohio State are ranked Nos. 2 and 3 in The Associated Press Top 25 and seem destined to be undefeated when they meet Nov. 26 in Columbus.
This is already a 24/7/365 rivalry, and the next five weeks will only enhance it.
