ANN ARBOR -- Chris Gaerig is a Michigan alum and a Pistons fan. His tweet Friday afternoon, upon learning that John Beilein had interviewed for the Pistons job, reflected how many Michiganders are feeling about the news:
"Very into this as a Pistons fan. Hate this as a Michigan fan."
There is plenty of overlap among fans of the Wolverines and the state's NBA franchise, and they're conflicted about simultaneously losing and acquiring Beilein as a coach.
As a Pistons fan I would be happy with them hiring John Beilein to be their head coach.
