STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — John Beilein has been a college basketball coach since 1978.
In all those years, he was ejected from a game only once, during his tenure as head coach at Erie (N.Y.) Community College.
Until Tuesday night.
At the end of the first half in No. 6 Michigan's 75-69 loss at Penn State, Beilein began arguing with officials over what the Wolverines appeared to have perceived as a missed illegal screen call.
As his assistant coaches tried to calm him down, Beilein was given two technical fouls and ejected from the game.
