John Baxter figured he had seen everything in 30 years as a college coach.
And then, on Oct. 17, Michigan's special teams coordinator watched something new.
With 10 seconds left and Michigan about to close out a season-making win over Michigan State, punter Blake O'Neill bobbled a snap and accidentally threw it into the hands of MSU's Jalen Watts-Jackson. Seconds later, Watts-Jackson was in the end zone with Michigan State's stunning 27-23 win.
"My reaction was pretty much the same as all of yours: the fluke of all flukes," Baxter said today, speaking publicly for the first time since the game.
