Barnes Arico, Michigan agree to two-year extension

John Beilein isn't the only basketball coach who's going to have a longer stay in Ann Arbor.

On Thursday, Michigan announced women's basketball coach Kim Barnes Arico signed a two-year contract extension through the 2022-23 season. Contract terms weren't disclosed.

"Kim has worked tirelessly to grow our basketball program here at Michigan," athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement. "Already our all-time winningest coach, she is a tremendous evaluator of talent and educator for our student-athletes. She sets a wonderful example for our program and I look forward to her continued leadership and success."

Barnes Arico passed Sue Guevara to set the all-time wins mark this past season and is 134-73 in six seasons.
