Was Joe Milton worthy of the preseason hype?
Prior to Saturday, Milton’s resume was practically blank. He had played 47 snaps — 11 of them passes, with six completions for 117 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions, and a rushing touchdown — in his career, with more speculation than evidence of his greatness.
His offensive coordinator, Josh Gattis, crowed about his 70-yard bombs with pinpoint accuracy in practice. Teammates boasted about Milton’s development during an offseason when he beat out Dylan McCaffrey for the starting job.
