ANN ARBOR -- As Michigan winds down its spring practice schedule early next week and prepares for the upcoming trip to France, one major questions looms.
Will Shea Patterson be eligible to play in 2018?
All necessary documentation is with the NCAA, which is set to rule on the Michigan quarterback sometime in the near future. A timeline hasn't been provided, nor is the NCAA commenting publicly on the process.
But the Wolverines are likely to end the spring just like it began, putting a premium on summer conditioning and again in the fall. If Patterson is allowed to play, then learning the playbook and getting reps will be key between then and Sept.
