The 19th-ranked Wolverines opened as 34-point favorites against Southern Methodist this Saturday (3:30 p.m., BTN), with the Wynn Las Vegas offering odds at Michigan -35, according to VegasInsider.
Another Las Vegas sports book, Stratosphere, has Michigan -35 1/2. Online sports book Bovada also lists Michigan as a 35 1/2-point favorite.
Michigan (1-1) is coming off a 49-3 rout of Western Michigan, a game in which it closed as a 28-point favorite. The Wolverines totaled 451 yards of offense and ran out to a 35-0 halftime lead.
