Ann Arbor quiet after Michigan Wolverines' loss to Villanova

ANN ARBOR, MI - Disappointed fans trickled into the streets of Ann Arbor after the Michigan Wolverines lost the national basketball championship in the NCAA Tournament on Monday, April 2.

The Wolverines were seeking the program's first championship since 1989, despite being the No. 3 seed and an underdog to the No. 1 seed Villanova Wildcats. The final score was 79-62 in San Antonio, Texas.

More than a thousand miles away, Wolverine fans reacted to the loss in Ann Arbor.

Some fans walked away in silence, some hugged, some expressed their dislike of Villanova and the officiating, but still others cheered for a great run this season.
