WASHINGTON D.C. -- All priorities changed in a flash.
Without being there, it's impossible to know what it was like -- what the fatal tension felt like in Michigan basketball's abrupt plane ride on Wednesday. One second, the Wolverines were aboard a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 Aircraft. The next second, according to Wayne County Airport Authority officials, they were part of aborted takeoff at Willow Run Airport, blown off course by heavy winds. The plane, carrying 109 passengers and seven crew members, went off the end of Runway 23L.
On Tuesday, the day before the accident, John Beilein and his players were talking about chasing Big Ten Tournament title.
