ANN ARBOR -- Grant Perry's first touchdown catch of 2017 came on an audible.
With Michigan clinging to a 17-14 lead over Cincinnati in the third quarter on Saturday, Perry lined up on the outside and looked toward quarterback Wilton Speight. The two made eye contact, but even then Perry thought the ball was going to tight end Ian Bunting.
"Because that look for him, that route, was open most of the game," Perry said. "And it just cleared out. He threw it up and it just turned into yards."
Perry dashed across the middle of the field, caught a short pass from Speight and sped 33 yards for the end zone.
