It was a disappointing afternoon in Ann Arbor on Saturday, as Michigan fell to Texas by a final score of 31-12, dropping the Wolverines to 1-1. The game marks Michigan’s first regular season loss since 2021 (Michigan State) and the first home loss in front of fans since 2019 (Ohio State).
Even though the loss might have been predictable, as Texas entered the game as a touchdown favorite, it’s a tough pill to swallow for the program and its fans. When you factor in the game wasn’t even as close as the final score dictated, the outlook only grows darker.
