Legendary University of Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler was told by a student in 1981 about sexual assaults being carried out by then-football team doctor Robert Anderson, a lawsuit expected to be filed Thursday will allege.
The suit, to be filed in federal court but obtained Thursday morning by the Free Press, alleges the student — who is filing as an unnamed "John Doe" — told Schembechler he was digitally penetrated by Anderson during an exam for migraines.
“The revelations involving the failure to act on the part of Bo Schembechler are troubling but should not be surprising,” said attorney Jamie White.
