ANN ARBOR - Charles Thomas began playing football at age 6 but his education in the sport was far from elementary.
He was trained by Deonte Wysinger, his older brother by 13 years who he also looked up to as a father figure. However, their relationship on the field was one of tough love.
Wysinger, a who played at MidAmerica Nazarene University in Kansas, didn't allow Thomas to become overconfident. For everything he did right, there was always a criticism to grown from.
"My brother never trained me as a youth player, he always trained me on the college level," Thomas said.
