4-star hoops recruit Cassius Winston drops U-M

Michigan's primary target for its 2016 basketball recruiting class is gone.

U-D Jesuit's Cassius Winston announced on Twitter this morning that he no longer is considering the Wolverines.

While many thought that he was leaning toward Michigan, scout.com reported this week that he was changing his official visit date from Sept. 19 to Sept. 26. Now he's not leaning anywhere and not visiting Ann Arbor.

Winston, scout.com's No. 28-ranked prospect, already visited Pittsburgh and Stanford and is to visit Michigan State this week.

This news seemingly also makes it tougher for U-M to land five-star wing Miles Bridges, a Flint native who has said that he and Winston have considered playing together.
