Georgia native and 3-star defensive back DJ Turner II had a landslide of offers come in for the 2019 season. Turner ended up committing to Michigan on June 25 as a 3-star commit. But in a recent interview with MLive’s Aaron McMann, Turner said he felt underrated as a 3-star prospect.
”I feel like I’m way underrated,” Turner said. “I feel like I’m way underrated -- but that’s all right. I’ll just show them at Michigan,” Turner said. “Michigan don’t think I’m underrated -- that’s all that matters.”
As a senior in high school Turner recorded 50 tackles, two interceptions and six pass deflections, according to MaxPreps.
