The Michigan football program picked up its first running back of the 2022 class on Saturday when three-star CJ Stokes pledged his commitment to the Wolverines. He made it official on Twitter as he is officially visiting for Victors Weekend.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder hails from Columbia, South Carolina. He was one of the first running backs Mike Hart offered when he joined Michigan’s coaching staff, receiving the offer back in March.
Since getting the Michigan offer, he picked up others from Penn State, Colorado and West Virginia. He already held offers from Minnesota, Duke, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and the in-state South Carolina Gamecocks, a program he was very high on until the new staff there did not reoffer him a scholarship.
