Michigan added to its already impressive offensive line haul with the addition of 2021 three-star tackle Tristan Bounds on Monday.
Bounds fills the role of a true tackle for Michigan, standing at 6-foot-7.5 and 285 pounds. While Bounds plays for Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut, he is originally from Virginia.
Besides Michigan, Bounds was considering local schools Virginia and Virginia Tech heavily, but Notre Dame may have been the biggest threat. The Irish made his top list almost immediately after offering and were making a strong push, but the long-standing connection with Ed Warinner, who has been recruiting Bounds for a long time, eventually won out.
