2021 5-star QB J.J. McCarthy commits to Michigan

Michigan picked up an enormous piece of its 2021 class today when Illinois 5-star quarterback J.J. McCarthy announced his commitment.

Michigan’s rivals actually helped them out in this recruitment, when McCarthy’s other suitors, Notre Dame and Ohio State, took commitments from 4-stars Tyler Buchner and Kyle McCord over McCarthy, respectively.

McCarthy visited campus in early April and quickly made plans to return for this weekend.
