Michigan basketball’s 2020 recruiting class just got one bigger. Jace Howard, a three-star forward from the University School in Miami, Fla., announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Monday evening.
Howard was deciding between Michigan, Princeton and Brown.
Howard (you should either have already known this or guessed it just now) is the son of Michigan head coach Juwan Howard. He was already being recruited by the Wolverines under John Beilein, per CBS Sports, but ever since his father offered him a scholarship in August, he’s seemed a lock to wear maize and blue.
While he doesn’t have the pedigree of Michigan’s other commits — five-star Isaiah Todd and four-stars Zeb Jackson, Hunter Dickinson and Terrance Williams — Howard, ranked 183rd in 247’s composite rankings, is a plenty interesting prospect in his own right.
