Jahquez Robinson, a 3-star cornerback from Jacksonville, Florida, made his verbal commitment just two days ago to the University of Alabama. Regardless, the Michigan Wolverines, led by defensive backs coach Michael Zordich, just offered the 6-foot-1.5, 174-pounder a scholarship.
He received his offer from Michigan Wednesday, and it caught him a bit off guard.
“Shocked,” Robinson told Maize n Brew on his initial reaction to the offer. “It kind of surprised me, and that’s a top level offer.”
Robinson doesn’t know much about Michigan football to this point. He has never visited Ann Arbor, but admitted he looks forward to visiting this spring.
