When Clemson and LSU square off in the College Football Playoff title game Monday, the presumptive No. 1 pick in each of the next two NFL drafts will be on the field.
LSU senior quarterback Joe Burrow, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, is expected to go No. 1 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals in April, and Clemson sophomore quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the favorite to be the first pick of the 2021 draft.
While Burrow is a late-riser in the eyes of scouts — he was projected as a Day 3 pick entering the season — Lawrence is considered the best quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck, at least.
