The Michigan Wolverines are in the midst of spring practice, but that hasn't done anything to stop their momentum on the recruiting trail. In fact, Jim Harbuagh & Co. have actually ramped up their efforts. Here are all the latest Michigan recruiting news and rumors you need to know:
4-star OLB impressed by visit
Four-star outside linebacker Dallas Gant (Toledo, OH) took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor this past week, and he was so impressed that he put Michigan in this top five finalists.
"It was a really impressive visit all around, in my opinion," Gant told Wolverine247. "The academic side of things was really great. I knew Michigan was a strong school academically, but they are an even more prestigious school than I first realized.
"Coach Harbaugh was a great guy. He took a lot of time out of his day to talk with my dad and I one on one and gave us an inside look of what the program is like and how he runs things. It was definitely impressive, and his track record speaks for itself.
"They were very clear that if Michigan ended up being my eventual choice that they would like to only take one player at the position. It's one of those things that I know I'll have to compete no matter where I go, but it is nice to know that they think that highly of me and it means something to me."
Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State round out Gant's top five, with the Buckeyes as the perceived leader right now.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder is ranked as the No. 5 outside linebacker and No. 117 overall prospect in the country in 247sports' Composite Rankings.
Two top 2019 prospects going to spring game
Offensive linemen Logan Brown (East Kentwood, MI) and Nolan Rumler (Akron, OH), both four-star prospects in the 2019 recruiting cycle, announced on Twitter that they will attend Michigan's spring game on April 15.

Wolverines making push for St. Louis prospects
Michigan has made New Jersey an area of recruiting priority in recent years, and with the 2017 class, they are making a trio of prospects from the St. Louis area a top priority, according to Steve Lorenz of 247sports.
On Tuesday, 2018 four-star defensive tackle Michael Thompson showcased a personalized design from the Michigan coaching staff illustrating the level of interest they have in all three of Thompson, four-star wide receiver Kamryn Babb and four-star defensive end Ronnie Perkins.

The Wolverines are considered legitimate contenders for all three prospects, with Babb and Thompson already having visited campus. Perkins is expected to visit Ann Arbor in the near future.
Babb made his unofficial visit to Michigan this past weekend. Missouri is another leading candidate among the three prospects, but Michigan is near the top of the list for all of the trio.
