The Michigan Wolverines might not have starting QB Brandon Peters for Saturday's game against Ohio State, Passing game coordinator Pep Hamilton told reporters Wednesday. Peters was knocked unconscious against Wisconsin and didn't return.
"(Peters is) progressively getting better, he's still in the protocol," Hamilton said. "It's on an hour-to-hour, day-to-day basis. We'll know where he stands (then). He seems to be a lot better than what he was after Saturday."

With Peters' status in doubt for the Wisconsin game, it's unclear who will play against Ohio State. Wilton Speight continues to recover from fractured vertebrae sustained against Purdue, which might force John O'Korn to start again. O'Korn has struggled this year, going 66 of 124 for 761 yards, 1 TD and 5 interceptions.
If Peters and Speight are both out, Alex Malzone might be forced to backup O'Korn. He's the other scholarship QB on the roster, outside of Dylan McCaffrey, who has redshirted this year.
