The Michigan Wolverines are in the midst of spring practice and on the verge of heading to Italy, but that hasn't done anything to stop their momentum on the recruiting trail. In fact, Jim Harbuagh & Co. have actually ramped up their efforts. Here are all the latest Michigan recruiting news and rumors you need to know.

Thompson-Robinson hails from Las Vegas, where he plays for Bishop Gorman high school (the same school where Tate Martell played last year). The No. 50 recruit in this year's class is also the No. 4 dual-threat QB. UCLA has a slight advantage over Michigan in the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

4-Star TE Closer To Committing
The Michigan Wolverines are getting closer to a commitment from four-star TE Mustapha Muhammad, reports the Detroit Free Press. Muhammad took his second visit to Ann Arbor for the spring game and enjoyed his trip.
"A lot of fans were giving us love," Muhammad said. "Michigan fans definitely make you feel really special and it's clear how passionate they are for their program."
Michigan is the front-runner for the No. 87 overall recruit. With Devin Asiasi transferring and Michigan not adding any TEs last year, it's a need this cycle.
Michigan Moves Up For QB Joe Milton
Four-star QB Joe Milton visited Michigan for the Spring Game and he came away impressed.
"The visit, it helped them move up, because I didn’t know Michigan was a school like that," Milton told 247Sports. "I didn’t know the background of Michigan, but now I do since I went there to learn everything ... The visit was great, nice coaching staff, nice facility, great fans, everything was great. What stands out the most was the academics, because either way you play football or just go for the academics, you’re going to be set for life."
Milton hails from Orlando, Florida and the four-star QB is the No. 307 prospect this year. Florida and Georgia are considered the top two for Milton, but Michigan is clearly in the mix now.
