The Michigan Wolverines have placed an emphasis on defensive tackles in the 2018 recruiting cycle, already offering scholarships to 20 prospects at the position.
They plan to take as many as three DT prospects in this class and feel confident that they can land their top three targets, according to Isaiah Hole of 247sports.
Michigan feels like they did a good job with Michael Thompson, who's likely the top target at the position, when he visited for the BBQ at the Big House. Though a few months removed from Rick Sandidge's visit, they still feel good about the move they made with him and the family when he did visit. And they still are liking Tyler Friday on their end.
It remains to be seen if they will be able to reel in all their targets, and they're all likely late decisions. But Michigan's feeling good about their prospects, and are hoping to add as many in that position group as possible this cycle.
