With spring practice over for the Michigan Wolverines, recruiting takes center stage for Jim Harbaugh and his coaching staff. Michigan is off to a strong start early, ranking 15th in the nation with eight commits. But the Wolverines are far from done and there's plenty of action around Michigan football recruiting. Here are all the latest Michigan recruiting news and rumors you need to know.
Three-Star QB Visiting This Weekend
The Wolverines already landed one four-star QB in Joe Milton, but they aren't done recruiting QBs. Arizona's Tyler Shough will check out Ann Arbor this weekend, Shough tweeted.

Shough told 247Sports that Michigan has said they could take two QBs this cycle.
"The coaches have talked to me about possibly taking two guys," Shough told 247Sports. "I am more than willing to compete for a job anywhere no matter how many guys I am up against."
Shough is the No. 4 ranked player from Arizona this year and is the No. 542 overall recruit in the 247Sports composite rankings (he's higher on the pure 247Sports list). He's the No. 20 pro-style QB as well. The Wolverines are the current front-runners to land Shough.
Latest On Devontae Dobbs
One of the top players for the 2019 class is OT Devontae Dobbs. 247sports lists him as the top recruit from Michigan and a top 10 national player. He also happens to play the offensive line, a major area of need for the Wolverines. That's why it's interesting that Land of 10 reports Michigan isn't giving Dobbs a ton of love right now. Dobbs even went to Ohio State's spring game over Michigan's. But Dobbs says Michigan is recruiting him to stay in-state.
"They’re just like, 'It’s at home, it’s Michigan,'" Dobbs said of his recruitment by Michigan "I'm pretty sure people would dislike me if I was to leave, but I’ve got to do what’s best for me. They're not the ones doing the four-to-five years, or three years, however it may be. I’m the one doing it. I can’t go based off what somebody else is saying. I just have got to feel at home."
The Wolverines are the current favorites on the 247Sports crystal ball, but Dobbs has interest from pretty much every major school.
Latest Offers
The Wolverines have offered quite a few prospects (for both 2018 and 2019) over the past few days. Below are the most notable ones, the source for their offer and a short write-up.
4-Star LB Damone Clark - Twitter
Clark is actually an LSU commit, but Michigan still made the offer. Clark is the No. 223 player in the nation, No. 13 ILB and No. 12 player from the state of Louisiana.
4-Star DT Bobby Brown - Twitter
Brown is the No. 152 player in the nation, with Texas and Oklahoma at the front of the race for the Arlington, Texas product. Brown is the No. 18 player in the state and the No. 14 DT.
5-Star S Brian Williams - Twitter
Williams is actually a 2019 recruit and a big one. He's listed as the top safety in the nation for 2019 by 247Sports and the No. 12 overall player. The Texas product is the No. 1 player in the state and has already racked up a ton of offers from the top-tier schools.
4-Star WR Theo Wease - Twitter
Wease is another top 2019 recruit. He's the No. 32 overall recruit and the No. 3 player from Texas. He's No. 7 WR in the class, although he could play some defensive back as well. Much like Williams, he's already racking up the offers.
