The season doesn't start for the Michigan Wolverines for several months, giving the Wolverines plenty of time to focus on recruiting. Michigan has turned up the heat on the recruiting trail during the offseason, and it's already paying dividends. Here are the latest news and rumors surrounding Michigan football recruiting:
Five-Star DT Visiting Wolverines
The top recruit from New Jersey is a defensive lineman and will visit the Wolverines this weekend. Sound familiar? DT Tyler Friday (who can also play offensive lineman) is the top recruit in the 2018 class from New Jersey and a five-star recruit. 247Sports reports he'll visit Michigan this Friday. The Wolverines offered Friday last year and are the early front-runners to land him.
Michigan In Mix For Top 100 WR
Four-star WR Jhamon Ausbon wasn't expected to list Michigan as one of his top four schools, but that's exactly what happened.

Ausbon is the No. 65 player in the nation and the No. 10 WR. The IMG Academy product received an offer from Michigan on April 21st and has yet to visit. Texas A&M and Auburn are considered the favorites, but the Wolverines are now in the mix. Ausbon was committed to Baylor, but decommited after Art Briles was fired amid the sexual assault scandal.
New Jersey Powerhouse To Play At Michigan
The Big House will play host to one of the bigger high school football programs in the country this season.
Paramus Catholic (NJ) will play a game at Michigan Stadium on Sept. 2. Michigan opens its season at home the next day.

Paramus Catholic has become a bit of Michigan pipeline in recent years. Rashan Gary and Jabrill Peppers both played there, and linebackers coach Chris Patridge was the head coach before leaving for Michigan. It's the first regular season to be played at Michigan since at least the 1970s. And yes, it was Jim Harbaugh's idea for Paramus Catholic to play St. Frances of Academy of Baltimore.
