The Michigan Wolverines already have 10 commitments in the 2018 recruiting class, which ranks No. 19 in the country, and they could be adding a few more in the coming weeks.
According to Matt Wenzel of MLive.com, both four-star linebacker Shayne Simon (Jersey City, NJ) and four-star wide receiver Kearis Jackson (Fort Valley, GA) have set dates for their commitment decisions.
It has been nearly two months since Michigan added a commitment to its 2018 class but multiple targets have pending commitments.
Shayne Simon, a 2018 four-star linebacker/safety from St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City, N.J., told 247Sports he will probably decide "this week or next week." Kearis Jackson, a 2018 four-star wide receiver from Peach County High School in Fort Valley, Ga., announced via Twitter he will commit at 4 p.m. on Aug. 19.
Simon is considering both Michigan and Notre Dame, and it appears the Irish have the lead for him at this time. The 6-foot-3, 215-pounder is ranked as the No. 6 outside linebacker and No. 134 overall prospect in the country, according to 247sports Composite Rankings.
Jackson is consider Auburn and Georgia along with Michigan, with the Bulldogs serving as the projected favorites right now. The 5-foot-11.5, 203-pounder is ranked as the No. 25 wide receiver and No. 122 overall prospect in the country.
