Nothing is settled in the Michigan football quarterback competition between incumbent Shane Morris and Iowa transfer Jake Rudock, and there's no current rush to settle things, according to UM offensive coordinator Tim Drevno.
"I can't put my finger on it, I couldn't tell you that," Drevno said yesterday on "BTN Live". "We'll go day-to-day and then I think it's just in your gut when you know it's right and make the decision. We can't put any timeframe on that."
Drevno did say that he's very impressed with both Rudock and Morris and how they're approaching the competition with intensity and a key sense of desperation.
"They're really just attacking every day and attacking every snap like it's a game-like situation and competing," he said. "That's a neat thing about this game. It really makes you a better person, in life. When you want something so bad you're trying to take another man's job, you're doing everything you can. You're staying up late studying, you're up in the morning, probably got butterflies in your tummy and that just makes you better."
