With National Signing Day exactly one week away, the Michigan Wolverines are working to put the finishing touches on another top class under Jim Harbaugh.
One of their top remaining targets is four-star defensive tackle Jay Tufele (South Jordan, UT), and defensive coordinator Don Brown went to visit him as part of Michigan's last push to land him:
I just want to thank @FBCoachDBrown for coming by!! really amazing coach but better person. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/btAENkqtKF

"It was awesome," Tufele told Rivals.com of the visit. "Coach Brown is a really awesome guy. He was just explaining everything about Michigan and telling me how much they could do for me and how much I could do for Michigan. He was saying how bad they really want me. I know that Coach Brown is the best defensive coordinator in the country and one of the best coaches overall. He really knows his stuff. He's the man. It went really well."
Tufele announced a top five of BYU, Ohio State, Michigan, USC and Utah in December, and says he is still "wide open" to all five schools. However, the Utes are believed to be the leader for his services.
The 6-foot-3, 300-pounder is scheduled to make an official visit to Utah this season before making this decision. He is ranked as the No. 3 defensive tackle and No. 41 overall prospect in the class, according to 247sports' Composite Rankings.
