Michigan Wolverines freshman wide receiver Tarik Black suffered a broken bone in his foot during Michigan's 29-13 win over Air Force, according to head coach Jim Harbaugh.
"He's going to be out and going to need surgery," Harbaugh said. "He's got a crack in his foot, on the outside of his foot."
Harbaugh said the team does not have a timeline for Black's return, but it's possible that he could miss the entire season. He would be eligible to receive a medical redshirt if he does miss the rest of the year as he has only played in three games.

With Black out for the foreseeable future, Donovan Peoples-Jones is expected to have a much bigger role in the offense. Sophomore Eddie McDoom, walk-on Nate Schoenle, and senior Maurice Ways could also see more playing time.
Black is Michigan's leading receiver this season, catching 11 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown so far this season.
The Wolverines open their conference schedule Saturday on the road against Purdue.
