Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh plans to officially invite Barack and Michelle Obama to be honorary team captains for a game in the upcoming season, according to Nick Baumgardner of MLive.com.

Michigan's head coach said Saturday during his annual quarterbacks camp in Ann Arbor that he plans making a formal offer to both Barack and Michelle Obama to be honorary football captains in 2017.
"We're making those asks, those official asks," Harbaugh said. "Yeah, we're in the process of making an official ask."

Harbaugh as met the Obamas on several occasions, including this past week during a congressional hearing for the Legal Services Corporation.
He has also worked with Michelle Obama numerous times on different education initiatives while the Obamas were in office.
