Asiasi, a Concord, CA native, was a four-star recruit (No. 75 overall prospect) in the 2016 recruiting class, and he transferred to be closer to home. However, the move was a big blow for the Wolverines, as he was projected to be Michigan's starting tight end for the upcoming season.
Former Michigan assistant Jedd Fisch gives Asiasi a familiar face at UCLA, as he is now the Bruins' offensive coordinator.
Asiasi was known as more of a blocking tight end at Michigan, as he only caught two passes for 18 yards and a touchdown last year.
