Earlier this week, Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart said the Michigan Wolverines were trying to gain a competitive advantage with their practices in Florida and that the NCAA will need to step in at some point. Apparently, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh caught wind of the comments. He fired back at Smart on Twitter.
If the Georgia coach is implying any intent on our part to break rules, he is barking up the wrong tree.

The "barking up a wrong tree" has to be an intentional pun, given that Georgia's nickname is the Bulldogs. On Monday, Smart was asked about "spring training games" for out-of-state teams.
"Spring training games?" Smart said according to the Athens Banner-Herald. "I guess you’re talking about spring practice with Michigan going down to Florida, maybe? Yeah, I can’t comment other than to say they’re obviously trying to gain a competitive advantage. Obviously, that’s their right. I think the NCAA in due time will have to step in and keep it from getting out of hand."
While that doesn't sound like much, the SEC has been very much against Harbaugh and Michigan holding practices in Florida. The SEC has already tried to get the NCAA to ban Michigan from heading south for practice. Perhaps Harbaugh is fed up with the comments coming from the SEC. Despite those efforts, Michigan will hold a portion of spring practice at IMG Academy this year.
