The Michigan Wolverines enter their game against Michigan State this weekend looking to extend their perfect 4-0 record. And, as we all know, little brother doesn't stand a chance. Here are three reasons why Michigan is guaranteed to beat the Spartans on Saturday:
1) Michigan's dominant defense
Both Michigan and Michigan State have quality defenses, but there's no denying that the Wolverines have the better unit. Last time we saw them on the field, Michigan allowed just one yard in the entire second half to Purdue. That superiority is something the Wolverines have demonstrated all season, allowing the fewest yards per game (203) of anyone in the country. And, considering Michigan State's struggles on that side of the ball, it will be a shock if they break the 200-yard barrier.

2) John O'Korn's ability to move the offense
Head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed that Wilton Speight will miss a few weeks with the "soft tissue" injury he suffered against Purdue, meaning that Houston transfer John O'Korn will be running the offense - and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Michigan's offense sprung to life under O'Korn, scoring touchdowns on all three red zone trips (they were just 1/10 on the season under Speight) and moving the ball consistently.
The Wolverines will still be a run-first offense, but O'Korn's ability to extend plays with his legs have added a new, productive dimension to Michigan's offense.

3) Undefeated record under the lights
This will be the fourth time Michigan has played a night game at home - the first against Michigan State - and the Wolverines have yet to lose one of these "Under the Lights" games. Michigan knocked off Notre Dame twice in night games and beat Penn State in their last such game in 2014 under Brady Hoke.
There's something special about the Big House at night. The Spartans are about to find that out.
