On the last time he played a team that ran the triple option:
"I can’t recall last time."
On a weird/bad question about "power percentage" and what percentage of the defense Michigan has shown thus far:
"I don’t understand your question. Power percentage? Schematically, percentage of defense? ... Okay I think I understand. We will strive for that to be better today than yesterday and better tomorrow than today. Weekly improvements. That's something we strive for here. And not just on defense, offense, special teams too."
On if he's satisfied with the defense:
"Satisfaction is not one of those words I association with football. Moving forward, it's about building on the many positives. That’s the platform. It’s good right now. See how good we can it. Its [the defense] been very good, bordering on having the license to be a special defense."
On The Big Ten RBs and Seven Averaging Over 100 Yards Rushing Per Game:
"I haven’t seen the stat. That’s a very good stat through week 2. Like we were discussing before, how good will our team be other team's be is to-be-determined week-by-week. I don’t have a prediction for you at this time. Speaking for us, it’s very important."
On When He Knows How Good Michigan Is (Which Became Comments On Air Force):
"How good your team is something you have to prove week by week. What you did before doesn’t matter. We’re preparing very hard for that. Working very long hours as a coaching staff and players are giving great effort to prep for Air Force, a team we have great respect for. Through our film study they're taking it up a notch. We've seen what they accomplished last year. Trying to prepare a game plan, our focus is narrow on the team we’re playing. And it should be. The team we’re playing gets the narrow focus. I don’t know about some of the previous questions. I don’t about other teams. Our Focus is narrow on the team we’re playing and they deserve our respect."
On ever knowing how good the Michigan team is:
"I think it’s a process. You eventually do know. The record is the indication. Immediate indication as your progress through the season."
On WR play:
"We're progressing well. Multiple guys who have played, improvements weekly, and growing. Please with way they’ve caught the play. Most important thing for WRs. We've had very few drops. Next is blocking. That’s been progressing. Week 1 to week 2 was leaps and bounds. It's showing up in the run game statistics. Assignments, getting to the spot is very important. Progressing in that regard, too. Making the big play, we're accomplishing that. Improving from week 1 or week 2 and we're progressing nicely."
