On challenges of starting Brandon Peters (if he does start):
"I thought that it wasn't too big for him. I thought that he acquitted himself well. The thing I liked the most was that he moved the team, picked up first downs, and scoring drives. There's a lot of challenges for any quarterback starting in a game, but I think the biggest ones are that Minnesota has a lot of good players, tough schemes. Some of the preparation for the week, the training, the practices, that's where we are right now. Dive into that and attack it.
On offensive coordinator Tim Drevno being on the sidelines:
"It's something we talk about as coaches. Time felt that he wanted to be down on the field. There's the added value of not only calling plays but making adjustments and being with the offensive line all week and being able to coach them in the ball game. Change back, basically. He was doing that last year and he wanted to be back doing that from now on."
On Nick Eubank's injury:
"Per usual, I don't make those announcements regarding which bone, which body part.
On Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck:
"I've always been impressed, being around him and his teams, from watching his Western Michigan teams and now his Minnesota team. The hustle is the first thing that stands out. Watching the film, you click it on and you see the hustle. Good players, tough schemes. The way they hustle to the ball, the way they go after the ball defensively really stands out. The tempo of play in all three phases, they play hard with a lot of hustle. They're talented guys and they're coaching them well. Good ball club. The most recent evidence is what I'm watching right now."

On Michael Dwumfour, Kwity Paye:
"The meritocracy of talent and effort that they've given in camp and in practice. Both ascending players and both played really well in the game. Mentioned some other players at the Monday press conference, but in that same regard are Kareem Walker, Brandon Peters, Stephen Spanellis, and Kwity Pay and Michael Dwumfour as well. They're ascending and they're playing well. If they stay on the same path of doing what they're doing, could [Dwumfour] be another Mo Hurst? Maybe, if. Same with Kwity Paye. Could he be another Chase Winovich? Maybe, if. They're already getting more playing time and I expect them to see them both getting more snaps just like some of the other youngsters that I mentioned.
"They're not there yet, but that's where they may get if they continue to train, continue to practice, they have a passion for the game, a passion for working, and improving their technique. They have the license and ability, phrase it that way. Michael Dwumfour has the license and ability to be a Mo Hurst in a couple of years. Kwity Paye has the license and ability to be Chase Winovich. We want them to do that, they have the license to do that, and I believe they have the ability to do that."
On the similar traits of all four of those players:
"Talent and effort. The passion and the work ethic of Mo Hurst and Chase Winovich have been at a high level for two, three, four, five years now. You can get to there. Those guys, Michael Dwumfour and Kwity Paye, they have examples right there in front of their eyes. Daily examples of how two guys practice, of how two guys work in the weight room, how they go about film study, how they go about training. I'm excited that both of them have that example right there at the same position."
