The Michigan Wolverines have undergone more than their fair share of upheaval this offseason with a number of changes both to the coaching staff and to the roster. Michigan parted with offensive coordinator Tim Drevno and lost offensive line coach Greg Frey but replaced them with former Florida head coach Jim McElwain and former Ohio State offensive coordinator Ed Warriner.
They also brought in some key transfers (specifically Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson) yet are losing several transfers of their own - seven, in fact. Here are the seven players that are transferring from the Michigan program and where they're headed:
QB Wilton Speight
Speight began the season for Michigan as the starter after starting all 13 games last season but, after suffering a spine injury against Purdue, he missed the last eight games of the season for the Wolverines. Speight did struggle when he was on the field this season, passing for 581 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.
He will be immediately eligible as a grad transfer for his final year of eligibility, but he has yet to decide where he'll play next season. The delay may be caused by questions about Patterson's immediate eligibility.
QB Alex Malzone
Malzone will play his final year of eligibility at Miami (OH) after announcing his plans to transfer in December. He didn't play any meaningful snaps for the Wolverines after spending his career being buried on the depth chart.
WR Maurice Ways
Ways also announced his plans to transfer back in November but is undecided on where he's going. He played a very minimal role for the Wolverines, catching only eight passes in 25 career games.
TE Ian Bunting
Bunting will be a grad transfer - though he also hasn't decided where he'll transfer to yet. He played in all 13 games for Michigan last season but only caught one pass.

OL Ja'Raymond Hall
Hall, ranked as the No. 30 offensive tackle and No. 301 overall prospect in the 2017 recruiting class, announced in November that he was leaving the Michigan program. He announced in December that he had enrolled at Central Michigan.
WR/CB Drake Harris
Harris started the season at cornerback, then switched to wide receiver, then wanted to join the basketball team. He wasn't productive on the field in 2017, catching only one pass in five games. He is going to Western Michigan.
K Ryan Tice
Tice, who has two years of eligibility remaining, is going to Tennessee as a grad transfer, where he will compete for their starting kicking job. Quinn Nordin beat out Tice for the starting job with the Wolverines.
