Former Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight has announced he's transferring to UCLA for his 5th year, according to a recent Instagram post. The post shows Speight in a Michigan uniform throwing, with the next screen displaying the Rose Bowl with the UCLA lettering on top; Speight captioned it "new chapter."
Speight was a starter for the Wolverines the last two years, but saw limited action in 2017 after suffering three fractured vertebrae in the Big Ten opener at Purdue last September. He's a graduate transfer, and as such, will be immediately eligible to play for a UCLA football team that looks to replace Josh Rosen.

Speight has been working out in southern California since leaving Ann Arbor. Although not a perfect fit for the system new head coach Chip Kelly likes to run, Speight could adapt.
In his Michigan career, Speight went 257-of-437 (58.8%) for 3,192 yards along with 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
