Wolverines Offer Top In-State Recruit
Michigan landed last year's top recruit from Michigan (WR Donovan Peoples-Jones) and now they're trying to land this year's top prospect. They've offered four-star OT Ryan Hayes, according to 247Sports. Hayes is the No. 150 overall recruit and the No. 13 OT. He's listed at 6-foot-7, 252-pounds, so he will need to bulk up after playing tight end so far in high school. Hayes said he plans to visit Ann Arbor in March, but 247 Sports pegs Notre Dame and Michigan State as the two front-runners for him.
Michigan Cracks Top 6 For Ohio Linebacker
The Wolverines are in the final six for three-star linebacker Brian Asamoah. The other schools are UCLA, UC, Penn State, West Virginia and Pitt.
Blessed to announce that these are TOP 6 Universities moving forward. My tentative Commitment date is April 21, 2017. pic.twitter.com/FrUCiGuFxX

The University of Cincinnati is the current favorite for Asamoah on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. However, he has not yet visited Michigan and will do so on March 18th. The Columbus, Ohio product is the No. 597 overall recruit and the No. 46 OLB. He's listed at 6-foot, 205-pounds.
Checking In On Michigan's Running Back Recruiting Plans
The Wolverines had strong interest in Top 30 recruits T.J. Pledger and Jaelen Gill, but those two are likely to head to Oklahoma and Ohio State respectively. As a result, 247Sports reports Michigan is altering their running back recruiting plans. They offered three-star prospects Christian Turner and Asa Martin on Thursday and might not be done making push. Four-star Keaontay Ingram could also get more attention from Michigan. None of Michigan's three 2018 commits are running backs.
