As first reported by Chat Sports' James Yoder back in January, RB Kareem Walker and now WR Kekoa Crawford are no longer with the Michigan Wolverines Football team.
1st Reported: Michigan RB Kareem Walker Dismissed From Team After 4th Team Rules Violation In 2 Years
On Sunday, Head Coach Jim Harbaugh disclosed that two skill position players were no longer with the program, but would allow the players to announce it themselves. Our source has informed us that it is indeed Walker and Crawford. An official announcement from the players will be coming soon.
Walker and Crawford were the top offensive players from the Wolverines' heralded 2016 recruiting class. Both were 4-star recruits with Kareem Walker having switched his commitment from Ohio State to Michigan back in January of 2016. It was widely expected that Crawford and Walker would have had big roles on the Wolverines' offense in 2017, but were passed on the depth chart by younger players last year and again in spring practice this April.
More on this story to come on the Michigan Football Report on Wednesday.
