If I never seen either of these things happen in a football game ever again, it will still be too soon.
First, a referee that is so fed up with player celebration tries to play tough guy. Easy Dalton, it's not your job to clean up player celebration. Stick to occasionally doing your job correctly, being slowly replaced by replay and finding referee shirts with tiny arm holes so you look huge on camera.
You can almost see the gears turning as he realizes he just did something very stupid. If that player was actually looking at the ref when he purposely threw his chest into the player this exchange might have gone differently. As it was, the player was looking the other direction and the ref could pretend that the bump was accidental.
What you see below is in no way accidental and not for the faint of heart:
I apologize for publicizing what's obviously not this person's finest hour. All the same, PRO TIP: if you know you're a picker it's probably in your best interest to stand far away from players that may make it on camera. Good luck living that one down. I'm just getting past a 6th grade basketball nose pick during a free throw. People don't forget.
