Tennessee head coach Butch Jones is only halfway through his second season with the Volunteers, but that apparently hasn't stopped him from looking at other hot jobs around the country.
According to 247Sports, Jones would have "strong interest" in the Michigan job should it become available after the season. The Wolverines' current head coach, Brady Hoke, is on the hot seat and is expected to be fired after the season ends.
Jones is a Michigan native and served as an assistant coach at Central Michigan for seven years, and then returned to be the head coach of the Chippewas from 2007-09.
Jones is an outstanding recruiter and has Tennessee on the upswing in the SEC, and his ties to the state of Michigan might lead him to Ann Arbor.
