Michigan QB Denard Robinson has submitted paperwork to the NFL to receive a report on where he is likely to be drafted.
The NFL draft advisory board is a tool that underclassmen can utilize to get a clear understanding on where they will be drafted if they choose to forego eligibility to enter the NFL Draft early. The board is composed of NFL general managers and player personnel directors. The board will deliver a draft grade to a player listing their potential as a pick. The grades the player receives back are as follows:
* first round
* as high as the second round
* as high as the third round
* after the third round
* undrafted
When asked by ESPN's Adam Rittenberg for confirmation on the rumors, Robinson answered:
"I did," Robinson said, "but we'll see what happens."
Asked if he's planning to return to Michigan in 2012, Robinson said, "most likely, yes."
Vote now: Would Denard Robinson get drafted in 1st round in NFL Draft if he left this year?
After doing some digging with sources in Ann Arbor today, we have gotten word back that Denard has met with Coaches Hoke, Mattison and Borges about his potential and all three were in agreement that the player should leave early if he is given a first round grade.
A player personnel director that Chat Sports spoke with today told us that he does not see Denard getting back a first round grade, with second/third rounds more likely.
