Brady Hoke has only been out for a matter of hours, but the Michigan athletic department is already making much better decisions.
When Florida AD Jeremy Foley flew to Fort Collins, CO to meet with Colorado State HC Jim McElwain, everyone in the state knew he was coming before his plane hit the tarmac. That's because observant college football fans have started using flight-tracking sites like FlightAware to track the movements of their school's athletic directors - Penn State fans knew James Franklin was on his way before his players at Vanderbilt did, and both Alabama and Texas fans were nervously watching flights between Austin and Tuscaloosa last year to see if Nick Saban was headed in either direction. All you need, in most cases, is an aircraft registration number, which is generally easy to find.
Michigan, though, has had enough - this is what happens when you check the flight tracking on the jet they've used for previous coaching excursions:
Now, no one will be able to see Interim AD Jim Hackett fly to Kansas for an interview with Charlie Weis (just kidding...we hope).
