The Michigan Wolverines and new head coach Jim Harbaugh picked up yet another huge recruiting get on Friday night, landing a pledge from four-star Avon (Ind.) High quarterback Brandon Peters, per Peters' personal Twitter account:
Proud to say that I am officially committed to Michigan university! #Fab25 #GoBlue
— Brandon Peters (@Bpeters2118) April 4, 2015
Peters committed to the Wolverines at the beginning of his weekend visit to Ann Arbor, choosing Michigan over the likes of Arkansas, LSU, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana, Boston College, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech. He's currently ranked as the #7 pro-style QB and #157 player overall in the Class of 2016 by 247 Sports.
Offered by Michigan back on February 9th, the 6-foot-5, 205-pounder placed Michigan at the top of his list right away. Since then, he and Jedd Fisch have built a strong bond which ultimately helped to facilitate a quick commitment on Friday.
Peters is the 3rd commitment of the 2016 recruiting cycle for Jim Harbaugh so far, and the second four-star pledge of the group (OT Erik Swenson). He threw for 1,876 yards and 21 touchdowns for Avon last season and is also being locked at as a Division 1 basketball recruit by several schools.
